Or enjoy drinks and dinner at the villa as you watch the sun slowly disappear into the sea.
Villa Amara began as an idea to marry the traditional and contemporary with a result that is truly spectacular. The villa was meticulously & lovingly created, using the best European construction materials and finishes to create a spacious Venetian style home, with a breathtaking infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the sea.
The house was designed to take full advantage of the surrounding views and abundant Greek summer light. Villa Amara was furnished with high-end furniture, all Cocomat beds and linens, air-conditioning throughout, WiFi, Smart TV’s, Bluetooth speakers, BOSCH appliances and complete and fully-equipped kitchen amenities.
Villa Amara is carved into a bluff that rises dramatically above the Ionian Sea and extends over two levels and contains over 250 square meters of living space. The design of the villa allows for privacy inside and outside, as well as various additional living areas throughout. There are no other inhabited houses that could obstruct the view from the back of the villa. Other than the sea and island views your only back-drop is the historical church of Saint John and a wild, untouched Mediterranean forest, forming part of the property.
This the main level/entry-level. The main entrance takes you into the main section of the house, consisting of an open plan living room, dining room and large fully-fitted white marble-topped kitchen with high-end European stainless-steel appliances including a wine fridge. The kitchen also has a generous island topped with a single slab of white marble that is great for entertaining. A large guest toilet and washbasin are also on the ground floor.
The living and dining rooms open out, through wide glass doors, to a substantial furnished patio & entertainment area, overlooking the sea and gardens below. The outdoor area includes a built-in BBQ (charcoal) and outdoor kitchen including a marble bar, refrigerator, and sink. In front of the living and dining room is a large infinity pool with sun loungers, deck chairs, and umbrellas – all overlooking the sea. A private jacuzzi with amazing sea views completes the outdoor space.
The main level also features one of the two master bedrooms including a luxurious bathroom that contains a stunning free-standing Apaiser marble tub and oversized custom tile shower.
A large wall-mounted TV, WiFi and a fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer complete the ground level. All windows have sea and island views.
After ascending the marble staircase, you will find a second living room that contains a white marble bar, second wine fridge, mini-fridge, and sink. The living room also has another wall-mounted TV and a Cocomat sleeper sofa that can comfortably sleep, two people. The living room opens to a small balcony in the front of the house and a large balcony at the rear which has a comfortable outdoor sofa and armchairs to take in the amazing views and sunsets.
Another master bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a queen-sized Cocomat bed, custom furniture and features a hand-built stone wall above the bed. A private balcony allows you to take in the views over the infinity pool, the mountains, and the sea. The master bathroom contains another stunning free-standing marble Apasier bathtub and a custom-built double shower that is set below another hand-built stone wall.
The two generous guest bedrooms upstairs (4 bedrooms in total including the two masters) are spacious, multi-windowed rooms, one with views of Lefkada, the other, with a romantic balcony, overlooking Lefkada, the sea, pool, and gardens below – both have their own bathroom with a shower and separate toilet and feature Cocomat beds and furniture. The Cocomat beds can be set up as a queen or two single beds depending on the needs of guests.
