Donoratico is a short distance from Villa Patrizia, this lovely town is situated in the land of the Etruscans and you can enjoy the beautiful beaches and waterfront alongside local customs, crafts and products such as wine and oil. The town’s historical roots can still be seen today in the incredible Etruscan tombs which have been set into the rocks in the woods known as the ‘buche della saracina’, ‘the saracen holes’. The walls and a tower of Donoratic’s famous castle, built on the site of an old Etruscan settlement, can still be seen today.
